Shomporko Desk:- Two residents have died and almost all of those living at a Markham long-term care home for adults with disabilities have tested positive for the coronavirus.
Participation House’s residence on Butternut Lane declared an outbreak late last week after 10 residents and two staff members tested positive for COVID-19. Thirty-seven residents and 12 staff members have since tested positive. Early Wednesday morning Martin Frogley, 58, died at Markham-Stouffville hospital. “He passed peacefully listening to music he loved. He was a wonderful son, uncle and the best brother anyone could ever ask for,” read a statement from his family released by the hospital.
