Shomporko Desk: A total of 16,564 people have been released from home quarantine so far and 47,181 are remaining in-home quarantine in Bangladesh. Apart from this, 29 people have been discharged from institutional quarantine so far and 151 are in institutional quarantine, according to health directorate.
The officials of the health directorate said the people of the country including Dhaka have been instructed to stay at home to stop the spread of coronavirus. In the last week, more than 30,000 people have been quarantined across the country, according to the Integrated Control Centre for Coronavirus of Health Directorate.
However, the government has taken strict measures to prevent deadly coronavirus. Different law enforcement agencies have performed their duties to keep maintain social distance.
The government has already declared a general holiday from March 29 to April 2 to stop the spread of coronavirus. The government shut down public transport from March 26 to April 4 across the country. All local, mail and commuter train services have been suspended from Tuesday.

However, no patient died in the last 24 hours, Director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora said at a press briefing online on Friday, reports UNB.
Bangladesh has so far reported five deaths from coronavirus. Besides, 11 other Covid-19 patients have already made recovery. Currently, 32 patients are under treatment.
