It is well revealed that inequality has been baked into our education system. Students from disadvantaged backgrounds have been disproportionately affected by unnecessary birth and disoriented rise of so many greedy private universities which is, in fact, a malfunction based on downgraded academic standards that were already questionable in the public universities.
Let’s be under no illusions. It was the politicians, regardless of which regime they belong(ed) to, and their money-grabbing associates who spearheaded this chaotic and toxic incompetent culture in Bangladesh’s education system. And the healthcare system.
The buck stops at the top. Just in case people don’t understand, so far no Bangladeshi govt. like to take the responsibility and yet they take the money for the role which is paid for the accountability. The ministers in the cabinet are milking the system and extracting the blood, sweat, piss, and shit out of the electorate. The current BAL govt. had since April to sort the results process out for both the Examinations and COVID testing. But it failed in both, miserably. The objective is age-old, to penalise the less economically wealthy, and favour the rich, the same old shamble of capitalism.
Politicians in this delta who sold vote as the love of independence should hold their heads in shame as there are many other issues and inequalities that they thrive upon. All such reasons need to be ousted from the government.
It shows the hypocrisy of conservatism when political elites think they can do what they want without taking the rap. Well! Such an approach should always be a dead duck in the water at the next Elections and the political parties with their greed would be sliding down the pan into the nearest Sewage. But that never happens… Alas! Seleucus!!!
