The Minister said that Pfizer would temporarily reduce the delivery of vaccines to Canada. At their plant in Puurs, Belgium, the pharmaceutical giant is pausing some production lines. For four weeks the military commander said the allocation of Canada would be reduced by 50%. The provision has been punctuated to later for about 400,000 doses.
In order to increase production volumes, Pfizer Canada says that “fluctuations in orders and shipping schedules” will exist. In the first three months, Canada is still expecting about four million doses of Pfizer. All doses of Canada are shipped in Belgium from the European company operation.
