The report was rejected by Israel’s embassy in London as “not based on reality but on a distorted ideological view”. B’Tselem argues that discrimination against non-Jews has been entrenched by Israel in the areas under its control.
The West Bank and Gaza were captured and occupied in 1967 by Israel. The Oslo Accords were supposed to lead to the creation of an independent Palestinian state through a “two-state solution”.
