Sinthia Hoque:- A video of the verdict in Toronto’s van attack, will be broadcasted on YouTube this Wednesday.
Alek Minassian, who was arrested and charged in connection to the Toronto van attack taken place on April, 23rd, 2018 had a trial via zoom due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Though Minassian had admitted to planning and committing the crime, he has pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of first-degree murder and 16 counts of attempted murder; claiming he should not be held criminally responsible due to his autism spectrum disorder. The broadcast was amounted to a small count of people and, included victims, their families and only select journalists.
