A 34-year-old man was killed when his car collided with a highway wall in Mississauga on Saturday night. Around 9:45 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the area of South Service Road and Cormack Crescent for a single-vehicle collision.
According to Peel paramedics, a vehicle was traveling north on Cormack Crescent when it collided with the QEW noise barrier for unknown reasons. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene, despite the best efforts of first responders and passersby who initially contacted emergency services.
Const. Akhil Mooken said, “At this time, investigators from our Major Collision Bureau have taken over this investigation, and we are appealing to anyone with information on this incident.” Police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and has dashcam video, as well as residents in the area who have surveillance footage, to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
