Tribute paid to legendary singer Manna at a programme celebrating the artiste’s birth centenary at Mizan Complex in Toronto on May 1.
Manna DeyJanmosatobarshoUdzapanParshad organized the programme which included songs of manna Dey and a discussion session on his life and works.
DelowarElahi, convener of the parshad, delivered a welcome speech at the porgramme in which he talked about the Dey’s everlasting impression in Bangla songs. Manna Dey’s popular songs including Coffee House, Na NaJeyona and O Chand were presented at the show. Toronto-based artistes Nazmul Huda, NurulAlamLal, NabiulHaqueBablu, MortozaShoeb, among others presented evergreen songs of Manna Dey. Sajjad Ali, owner of Bangla Television and noted writer, shared his memories with Manna Dey to the audience.
