Durham Regional Police say an 18-year-old male died after a stabbing in Ajax on Friday, and a suspect is facing charges.
Officers were dispatched to a home on Bowles Drive shortly before 4 p.m. for a stabbing incident.
A male and girl were discovered with life-threatening injuries and taken to the hospital.
According to a news release issued by police on Saturday, the 18-year-old guy ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead in hospital. Durham has now seen four homicides this year.
The female is in stable condition.
A suspect was arrested at the scene and police said the stabbing was an isolated incident.
On Saturday, police said a 22-year-old man from Ajax had been charged with second degree murder, attempted murder and aggravated assault. His identity has not been released.
