Doly Begum, Member of Provincial Parliament for Scarborough Southwest (SSW) and her team is collecting sanitary products including diapers, baby formula, baby wash, tampons, and women hygiene essentials to support Scarborough Food Security Initiative – SFSI. SFSI is a local non-for-profit dedicated to improving the quantity and quality of food in our Scarborough community.
Dolly said, we’re collecting essential hygiene products to help families needing support during this difficult time. During this pandemic people need food. But at the same time to stay healthy and safe, people also need Essentials, like hygiene products.The problem is many don’t feel comfortable asking for these nor is it usually on top of people’s mind when it comes to food bank donations, she added.
So she urged everyone to come forward to support and donate some of these essentials. She and her team will collect essentials on Friday, December 11 at SFSI Food Bank, 2229 Kingston Rd, Scarborough, ON M1N 1T8(from 10:30 am to 3 pm)
