Children and a pet were reportedly pulled, pinned, and entrapped under a “Tread+” treadmill says the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
There’s no reason to stop using the treadmill, according to the commission, as long as children and pets are kept away from it at all times. The treadmill should be unplugged when not in use, and the safety key should be removed and stored, said the commission.
When not in use, it is also recommended that other objects be kept away from the treadmill and other objects in the home. It was claimed that a child was pulled under the treadmill while a parent was running on it in at least one episode, implying that it can be dangerous to children even when a parent is present. According to the report, the company made $1 billion in revenue in the last three months of last year, nearly doubling its revenue from the previous year.
