Canada and British Columbia are investing in charging stations in Surrey for electric vehicles. The project includes the installation of approximately 40 charging stations in 10 city-wide community centers, recreation centers and pools.
Through the Green Infrastructure Stream of the Investing in Canada plan, the Government of Canada is investing $ 274,054 in this project. A great example of the way forward to a greener future is the Clean Surrey Electric Vehicle Charging Network project. More than $180 billion over 12 years is being invested by the federal government in public transit projects.
The Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, the Honourable Catherine McKenna, said: “The Government of Canada is committed to ensuring this.”
