A discussion and introduction meeting was organized on the evening of June 30th, 2019 for the initiative of the first 24 hours Bangla Islamic Channel, Azan TV, at the very famous “Gharoa Classic” restaurant in Toronto. Hafez Saad Aslam Uddin inaugurated the ceremony through the beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran.
The meeting was presided over by Channel Vice President Abdul Wahid. The keynote speaker was Mufti Aslamuddin Azhari, a prominent Islamic thinker of the channel. Seated on the stage were elected MPP Doli Begum from Scarborough Southwest and Nazrul Minto the chief adviser to Azan TV.
Prominent presenters addressed the meeting at the lively presentation of Momo Quazi, founder of BCS – Mushtaq Ahmed, “Vorer Alo” editor Khandaker Abdul Ahad, CBN24 editor Mahbubul Haque Osmani, Rotarian Akhlaq Hossain, youth activist Rizwan Rahman and so on.
The speakers wished the overall success of the new TV channel and assured cooperation. Eventually the ceremony ended with some refreshment of a light snack.
The slogan of Azan TV, the first Bengali Islamic channel in North America, is ‘Calling for truth’. The channel has 24-hour recitations from the Holy Quran with translation, interpretation of hadith, Hamd-Naat, Rasool, documentary, Islamic discussion and more.
It may be mentioned that ‘Azan TV’ officially started broadcasting on May 7. From the beginning, the program has been broadcast in both languages in English and Bengali.
In addition to this, Azan (according to Toronto Time) is being aired five times daily. The channel has already gained huge popularity throughout North America. The channel appears in different numbers in almost all IP boxes, including the popular IP Box Magic, Gem, Star, Gold. You can also watch the channel on the website (www.azan.tv).
