Sinthia Hoque:-The Vancouver Major Island Crime Unit is currently investigating the shooting death of a 37-year-old man, who was found dead in the Victoria-area community in Metchosin, B.C, just 4600 block of Sooke Road.
According to a statement provided by West Shore RCMP spokesman Constable, Alex Berube, police were called to investigate a report of shooting at Metchosin, just after 9 p.m. on Friday.
Berube says that due to the evidence found at the crime , investigators believe the incident was targeted.
Though no arrests have been made and the identity of the man is yet to be released, Berube says investigators are asking those who may have been in the Sooke area between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. to contact West Shore RCMP at 205-474-2264.
