This morning, Mayor John Tory was given a shot of the AstraZeneca vaccine at a pharmacy on Queen Street West.
The mayor’s vaccination follows Doug Ford’s first dose of the vaccine on Friday. Toronto Mayor John Tory has become the latest in a long line of Ontario politicians to receive their first dose.
According to the provincial government, the shot is safe for those who are currently eligible for it. After a small number of people received the vaccine in Toronto, many pharmacies and primary care physicians are currently administrating AstraZeneca vaccines to those under the age of 55.
