A shooting early Sunday morning in St. Catharines, Ontario, claimed the life of one individual.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area of Pleasant Avenue and Lake Street at 3:40 a.m., according to Niagara Regional Police Service.
Three victims were discovered at the location, according to officers. Two people were taken to the hospital, one of them was pronounced deceased.
One of the two injured suffered from serious injuries and was transported to an out-of-town hospital for treatment. The second person is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The area in and around the shooting is currently closed to traffic while officers investigate and process the scene.
