Police suspect the driver of a car that rolled over in midtown Toronto on Friday night, who was left with severe injuries, was impaired. It happened on Yonge and Balliol streets, just south of Davisville Road, a little after 9 pm, the police tweeted.
The police said that the woman was initially stuck in the car, but ultimately the firefighters were able to extricate her. Toronto Paramedic Services confirmed that the driver was taken to a trauma center to treat her injury, which they claim is severe.
The police added that because of alleged drunken driving, the woman was put under arrest. As a consequence of an inquiry, Balliol Street is closed towards Yonge.
