Using cold water this winter is especially difficult for children and the elderly. Corona could be even scarier this winter.
A human rights organization ‘Sristy Human Rights Society’ has donated a geyser machine to a madrasa at Benarasi Palli at Mirpur area in the capital on Monday. Anwar-E-Taslima, chairman of the organization said “Madrasa’s minor children perform ablutions with cold water before prayers.
This arrangement has been made to give them a little relief from the cold of winter and covid-19 pandemic. I think they would be able to easily perform ablution and say prayers using hot water. Moreover, if cold water is used, there is a risk of epidemic including cold-related diseases to children and elderly people.
We shall try to provide geysers in other madrasas in phases.” Advocate SM Jasim Uddin, Legal Adviser of Sristy Human Rights Society, Co-ordinator Sarwar Hossain Jony, Member Sumon Mohammad, Principal and other teachers of the Madrasa were present on the occasion.
