Today is the first day of the trial for a teen accused of sexually assaulting two students at an all-boys Catholic school in Toronto.
The incidents occurred in October and November 2018 at St. Michael’s College School.
The prosecution and defense will argue over the admissibility of a video that shows one of the sex assaults in one of the school’s football locker rooms.
The teen has pleaded not guilty to gang sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, and assault with a weapon on two counts each.
They are connected to two separate incidents in which students were sexually assaulted with a broom handle.
Several students have testified in court that the teen was involved in a sexual assault on Oct. 18th and Nov. 7th, 2018.
