The Ontario teen who died of COVID-19 was a refugee who worked as a cleaner for long-term home care. Yassin Dabeh, 19, of London, Ont., worked at a long-term care home as a cleaner and died after COVID-19 was diagnosed. He was a Syrian refugee who, according to Paramount Fine Foods’ CEO, Mohamad Fakih, moved to Canada with his family in 2016.
He is the youngest individual with the virus to die in the region. The Middlesex-London Health Unit told CBC News there were 150 cases, 78 staff and 72 residents associated with an outbreak at home.
