According to Toronto police, a lady who was taken alive from Lake Ontario at an Etobicoke park early on Saturday morning has died.
The marine unit reacted to reports of a body in the water near Marie Curtis Park at around seven in the morning.
According to the police, the victim was found along the beach’s edge.
Medics performed life-saving measures but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
A coroner is coming to the scene to investigate.
Police said they are making efforts to identify the woman.
