Sinthia Hoque:-Singer and songwriter Halsey, 26 and screenwriter boyfriend Alev Aydin, 37 announced that they’re expecting their first child on Wednesday, January, 27th. Halsey, who has always been vocal and open about her medical condition and her struggle with endometriosis ( a condition in which tissue similar to the tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus grows outside your uterus).
She had first spoken and had gone public about her endometriosis in 2016 on Twitter and after undergoing surgeries, she had shared her struggles in an interview in 2019 with Rolling Stone mentioning that for a long time she didn’t think she could get pregnant or have a family of her own, something that was incredibly important to her. But she said, “then one day my OB-GYN tells me it’s looking like maybe I can, and I was so moved. It felt like this ascension into a different kind of womanhood”.
Not only is she a woman who is extremely talented but an inspiration that many women can look up to; an inspiration and hope to those who may be going through something similar. We hope and wish Halsey all the best for her future and child.
