Sinthia Hoque:-According to a statement made by provincial officials on Friday, Ontario and Peel region is expected to resume outdoor dining, and as well adjustments made to the grey lockdown zones in which red and orange zones indoor capacity will be increased.

The decision is made following a meeting by Premier Doug Ford and his cabinet.

These changes permit restaurants and bars to serve people from the same household outdoors, followed by social distancing and health regulations.

Businesses are required to post visible signs outside stating their maximum occupancy.

Indoor bars and restaurants are still forbidden due to the grey lockdown zones.

Ontario to adjust rules for areas in the red and orange zones, which will allow up to 50 per cent capacity for indoor dining in restaurants, and up to a 100 people on orange zones.

Those who reside within the same household can dine together at restaurants, exempting those who live alone and are caregivers.

The move is expected to take effect after medical officers of health in both Peel and Toronto express their support to ease some restrictions in these areas.

These rules will come into effect as of Saturday, March, 20th at 12:01 a.m.
