Shomporko Online News Desk: A man was discovered with suspected stab wounds Saturday morning, prompting Halifax Regional Police to launch an investigation.

Officers responded to a report of a group involved in a physical confrontation in the 1100 block of Tower Road shortly after 10 a.m., according to police.

“Patrol officers responded to locating an adult male with serious injuries consistent with a stabbing,” it said. “Minutes later officers located a second adult male with minor laceration injuries.”

Both men were arrested. The man with the serious injuries was taken to hospital and the other man declined medical treatment.

“Police are not looking for any other suspects,” says the spokesperson. The two individuals are believed to know each other, according to the press release.

Officers from the HRP arrived on the scene Saturday afternoon. The inquiry is still in its early stages, according to the announcement, and is being led by their forensic identification unit and integrated criminal investigation division.
