Tiasha Tabassum:A Toronto police officer who is an inhabitant of Hamilton has been charged with sexual assault. He got arrested after an investigation by the child abuse and sexual assault unit of the Halton Regional Police Service.
Halton Regional Police Service CASA Unit arrested the 53-year-old offender on Monday. However, the officer’s name has not been made public yet as it has the possibility to identify the victim.
According to Hamilton Police, the victim and the abuser were known to each other beforehand. At the time of the alleged accident, the Toronto officer was off duty. Police believe that there is not any other victim.
